Update

Today is the day I am going to take action toward making money with real estate. I am going to go downstairs, pick up the Sunday paper, pick out the ads that look to be motivated sellers and give them a call. I have some details I need to find out about the property and some figuring I have to do and I will give an offer to buy a home this week. Here I go, wish me luck.

Find Your Passion

Love what you do. I am writing this blog about what I like to do. I like to make money and I like the idea of making money quickly. I have also read many books about making money quickly. I don't believe that there are too many scams out there about making money because they all say pretty much the same things. Some of them offer the information in an easier to understand and easier to follow manner but they are all set up to give you ideas on making money. The idea that I have really bought into is real estate.

I like the idea of real estate. I want to be a real estate investor. I have read extensively on the subject and I have a good idea how it is supposed to work. The one thing I haven't done is follow the directions of the guru's. I guess I have tried a couple of things but I haven't actually set my mind to it and taken action to attain the success I desire. I am a little lazy and a little fearful of the whole concept.

I find it difficult to stick to something that I don't have to do. I do have to go to work every day if I want to have a place to live and have food to eat but I don't have to invest in real estate for that. Although I don't have to invest in real estate it keeps creeping into my head that I should do it. So, I have decided to give it another shot. I plan to set it up so that I it is like a hobby. Since I don't have tons of money to spend on advertising and business cards and a fancy website I've got to start small.

I like to help people. I also like to teach people. That is why I am writing this blog along with the fact that I could earn money from it. As I am writing this I am also devising a plan to invest in real estate. I am going to need another website devoted to this project. I have a friend who is a website designer. I will call him tomorrow to get his help on this project.

My idea is to call the for sale by owner ads in the paper and try to negotiate a contract that is helpful for the situation they are in and profitable to me as an investor. If I can't find a profitable solution to their situation I will advertise , for free, the property on my site for them until it sells. The site will also list the properties I have under contract. That is almost too simple. I know that there are many more things for me to consider but it is just a rough outline for what I plan to do.

There are more things I'd like to do with this idea but I want to keep it simple and focused. When this strategy becomes successful I will implement more strategies into it to create multiple streams of income. Which reminds me, Multiple Streams of Income, is a book by Robert Allen that details the process of earning residual income from multiple sources. I am throwing this in because if you click on the link and buy the book from amazon I earn a commission and also because it is a helpful resource in the cash quest. One of the main sources of income that Robert Allen talks about is Real Estate. As you can see I am implementing the strategy of multiple streams of income into this blog and you can learn how to do this too by reading this blog and get a more in depth and professional book about it. The main thing is find something you are passionate about and find a way to make it profitable.

Goal Setting

Since this Blog is about the things I am doing to make money I would like to share some of the things I've been learning. Almost every program that you pay money for dives first thing into setting goals for yourself. I have made tons of goals for myself. I haven't achieved many of my goals in the financial arena. If you are reading this then one of two things are likely to be the case with you:

1. You are like me and need to make some money without working too hard, or
2. You are crazy bored and have nothing better to do.

For the first group I have to say that it takes time to get things done. I am finding out that you mjust be patient. You must also be persistent. I am very patient. I have been waiting thirty-one years to actually buckle down and give it my all to make money. I don't want to wait another thirty-one years to be financially independant. I constantly read all these generic sales pages telling me how easy it is to make money online. I admit I have fallen for more than enough of these scams and still haven't made a dime for my efforts.

For the second group, just keep reading, maybe you'll find something helpful or exciting here. I know that it is possible to make good money online but I am just not sure how to do it without spending the same amount of money that you would by starting a brick and mortar business. So, discounting all the previous trials and errors, I have spent $27 for the product found at http://tinyurl.com/2n9yz5. It is pretty informative and gives lots of ways to make money online. I have also spent around $13 on google adwords. I haven't made any money yet. My next venture is going to be ebay.

Back to goal setting. I have made ridiculous goals in the past. Things like make one million dollars this year or make 10 sales tomorrow but they were unrealistic to me when I made them and made me feel less like trying because I knew I would never achieve them. So, what I am going to do is make less outrageous goals, set my sights on them and get them done.

So, here are my goals for this week:

1. Work five hours on creating blogs and website additions.
2. Find a forum that has some information to help me with my website www.globalinternetfortunes.com (This is another one of those techniques to get noticed by the search engines)
3. Love my Wife!

I am sure I can accomplish these goals. I will update this blog on the 26th of July and let everyone know if I did what I set myself up to do. My suggestion to you is to do something similar. Set yourself up to win. Don't make goals that you aren't sure you can complete. If you know that you can accomplish the goal at hand then there are no excuses for not coming through. If your goal is to make $10 million tomorrow afternoon and you know you can do it then why are you reading this? Just kidding. Just make small goals that you know will happen then make them tougher as you accomplish them. Build your confidence first.

I know I will make the millionaire's club one day. I have a target but I am not ready yet otherwise it would be so. I am aiming right now. I must first make a dollar, then I will make $100...$1000...$10,000...$100,000... and then I will be ready for payday. I am struggling. I won't make my life seem like more than it is and I will let you know when it does become more and how I got it that way.

Using the Ideas of The Gurus

To get started in internet marketing, according to many internet gurus is to build a website. I am using Yahoo.com to build my site. I went to their site and followed the links to get a website. Next you need to get some information. The information I have recieved through buying or just searches on google. They all seem to recommend selling other people's stuff as an affiliate. That is part of what this site is about.



I have integrated some techniques here that I have learned about. I have a website that collects email adresses for my list. I plan to set up some sort of newsletter or free stuff that I find helpful, all the while giving opportunities to buy products that I get a commision from.



Another technique to use is to put links to your pages on many pages on the internet that link back to your website or affiliate links. For example, I used a product called Autopilot Profits and signed up as an affiliate. They gave me a link to get paid when someone buys this product from this link: http://tinyurl.com/2n9yz5.



Now that I just put that link in there that makes that site more relevent in keyword searches on the search engines or on adwords. I am not too sure how the search engines work but what I gather is that the more sites your website is linked to the more chances a search in a relevent category as your site puts your site at the top of the searches. The top sites get most of the views. The more views you get the more possible customers to buy from you.

There are also pay-per-click advertising methods. I use adwords because it is the biggest and supposedly the most profitable. The Autopilot Profits program that I mentioned earlier gives plenty of information on how to use adwords and they also give you some special report where

My Next Attempt

I have spent the last five or six hours reading about making money online. I bought a program called Autopilot Profits. I like the information given in this book and the program it gives you to follow in order to become successful in the arena of internet marketing. Like many of the other programs out there it is also an affiliate marketing program. The idea is pretty clear to me now. In order to make money online as an internet marketer you must either create a product that tells others how to make money online and get them to sell it for you as an affiliate of yours, or you become an affiliate and sell the works of others.

I believe that it helps motivate you to see the success of others and to model what they are doing, logically, should bring you success also. So, as I read through the countless sales pitches, free information and inexpensive instruction manuals I find that there are two paths to wealth. The easier one seems to be to sell the works of others as an affiliate and earn a commission while learning the techniques necessary to create your own successful product. The other option is a bit tougher and will take more time to become profitable is to simply develop a product, take it to market and implement some of the techniques the gurus are all raving about and eventually turn a profit.
